In 1997, after leaving a 20-year career as a Registered Nurse, Luanne left the medical profession to focus on wellness through dance. She began by taking lessons from local professionals and, in 2006, began teaching for local businesses, such as Highmark, that were looking for alternative wellness programs.
In 2008 she founded Integral Ballroom (now Integral Enrichment Center) and continued to study by traveling to New York for coaching. Her coach, now the newest Pro on the hit ABC show Dancing with the Stars, Pasha Pashkov, taught her for close to eight years.
Luanne is the founder of Dancing with the Celebrities of Pittsburgh, a charity event that has raised over $800,000 for local Pittsburgh charities.
Luanne is the Founder of DanceSport for Schools, a program that gives public and private students the opportunity to train and compete in a DanceSport competition.
